1. I picked Covering and Surrounding because it was the most fun. Also it was the easiest and I learned a lot of things.
2. I learned from the unit how to find the area of a square and other shapes. I learned how to find the perimeter of shapes and how to find the height and base of a triangle. I learned that 3.14 is equal to Pi.
3. The concepts in this unit that will impact my life are if I’m a putting a fence in my yard I would know what my yard area and perimeter are. If I’m a floor installer and need to put in a tile floor, I need to know the living room perimeter and area.
4. Other information I learned; We used foam shapes to see what shapes you could use to put together to make a tile floor. Squares, triangles and hexagons go together. Circles and octogons don't go together.
